Gooners torn in between being excited for the blockbuster football match later this afternoon while others feeling the cracking nerves of once again living the disappointment. Arsenal go into this game with something to prove as the downward spiral seems imminent to happen unless the squad can prove all wrong. Arteta needs to show the football world that his plan is there to be accomplished. Time is of the essence despite the outcry to allow more games for the desired results to show. Arsenal fans are tired of leaving it to false hope.

Believe me, we have been through it through the late Wenger years and the inexplicable Emery downfall.  Arsenal deserve better but lately, they are not being labelled as the force to be amongst the elite. This is a sad situation. Today’s game is already being seen as a no brainer to many a pundit. Will Mustafi & Co. handle the hunger of Rashford, Cavani and Fernandes ? Place your bets but we all seem to know the outcome if one had to base it on recent form and growth shown on the pitch.

Dundalk should have served an outright training session (with all due respect to The Lilywhites) but it was not so. Goal attempts was a mere 24 : 4 with the Gunners managing a miserable only six shots on target. Dismay comes to mind as this is where we fail over and over. Our clinical and killing instinct in the box leaves so much to be desired and unless a sudden improvement is seen to, then we will be subject to the same post-match negative reviews and more.

Luiz is out of today’s game, leaving a worrying belief as Luiz kept wronging his critics in the past games. My bet is on:

Probable Lineup (4-3-3): Leno; Bellerin, Mustafi, Gabriel, Tierney; Ceballos, Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Lacazette, Aubameyang. I do hope Lacazette will be swapped for Nketiah for such a game as I believe Laca will be lost upfront but the gaffer would rather pick on experience than risk the youngster’s possible inclusion. Xhaka, Cebellos and Partey have to be at their sharpest to dampen the plans of McTominay – Fred – Pogba.
